Personal Chef Services Agreement

The Family Table


This Personal Chef Services Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between The Family Table, LLC (“The Family Table,” “Company”) and the above-named client (“Client”). The parties agree as follows:


1) DEFINITIONS

  • Chef: The Family Table’s designated professional.

  • Cook-Date: Scheduled in-home service session.

  • Service-Rate: Quoted service fee.

  • Menu Proposal: Chef-provided custom menu based on client's profile.

  • Premises: Service location.


2) SCOPE OF SERVICES

Included: menu planning, written communication, ingredient sourcing, grocery shopping, in-home cooking, standard labeling/packaging, and post-service cleanup, trash removal. For additional services, like catering, contact Chef Charlie Brooks directly.


Not Included: deep cleaning, dishwashing beyond chef-used tools and equipment, serving, appliance repair, and nutrition counseling unless contracted.


3) MENU PLANNING & PROPOSALS

Menu customized from client profile. Written communication between chef and client is required. The client can expect a menu proposal a minimum of 48 hours before the cook-date, and must confirm the proposed menu ≥24 hours before service. Last minute substitutions may be necessary due to availability or other unforeseen factors.


4) SCHEDULING & ACCESS

Chef arrives at agreed time and date. Client must provide access. If access fails, full service rate + groceries apply. Kitchen area must be free of children, pets, and distractions, with adequate working kitchen space.


5) VACATIONS

Weekly clients: 6 weeks/year. Bi-monthly clients: 3 weeks/year. Notice of client vacation must be provided in writing ≥2 weeks. Additional missed appointments require payment of service rate to retain a regular spot on the chef’s schedule.


6) CANCELLATIONS

7 days written notice required. Weekly clients: 4 free late-cancel passes annually. Bi-monthly: 2 annually. Late cancellations billed full service-rate + groceries if already purchased.


7) KITCHEN STANDARDS

Client must maintain a clean, safe kitchen with storage containers ready for use. Unsanitary kitchens documented and billed; $50 cleaning fee if excessive cleaning required.


8) PRICING & FEES

Standard service-rate: $245 plus groceries reimbursed at cost with receipts, additional  dishes ($25 each) will be added when applicable. Travel included; extra mileage billed on a case by case basis. Premium ingredients/holidays may incur fees. Other services, like catering, will be charged based on a pre-service agreed amount plus the cost of groceries.


9) PAYMENT

Invoices are sent after service. Payment is due on receipt. Failure to pay for service will incur a $50 late fee applied after 14 days of receipt date. Credit cards accepted with 3% processing fee.


10) FOOD SAFETY

The Family Table may discard unsafe food, which may include leftover Family Table meals from previous service dates. Meals are labeled and accompanied by reheating guidance. Client assumes responsibility for food-safe storage and reheating. The Family Table is not responsible for client’s improper preparation of food.


11) ALLERGIES

Client must disclose allergies in writing. The Family Table chef will do utmost diligence to avoid contamination, however, there is no guarantee of zero cross-contamination. The Family Table is not liable for undisclosed allergies.


12) INSURANCE

The Family Table chef maintains general personal liability coverage. Client encouraged to maintain homeowners/renters insurance.


13) SAFETY & EMERGENCIES

Client maintains safe premises. Chef may suspend service if conditions appear unsafe. Ill chefs will reschedule or provide substitute service time.


14) PRIVACY

Client information and home details are kept confidential. Food photography requires permission.


15) SUBSTITUTION

Replacement chefs may be assigned on a case-by-case basis.


16) LIABILITY

Client responsible for safe premises. Chef maintains liability insurance in case of accidental property damage. The Family Table is not liable for any damages.


17) FORCE MAJEURE

Neither party is responsible for delays caused by uncontrollable events.


18) TERMINATION

Client termination of service requires 14 days written notice. Immediate termination allowed for material breach.


19) GOVERNING LAW

Agreement governed by Colorado law.


20) NOTICES

All notices in writing via email or mail.


21) MISCELLANEOUS

Entire agreement; modifications must be in writing.
